Day 2
- The importance of setting lower incisal edge position ‐ what, why and how?
- Incisal edge bonding with putty matrix ‐ reliable method, predictable results
- Laboratory communication for effective case planning
- Hands-on: Using Michigan splints to protect your restorations
- Hands-on: Placement of SmileFast Direct and Flo stent for palatal wear
- Hands-on: Polishing composite for longer lasting aesthetics
Course Content
1. Develop a systematic, strategic and ethical communication process
2. Contemporaneous aesthetic assessment: Comprising of examination, record keeping and photography
3. An introduction to occlusion for restorative dentistry: When to reorganise an occlusion, the steps involved in doing predictably, finding centric relation and correct use of articulated and mounted models
4. The use of functional diagnostic wax ups to plan restorations
5. How to copy the form of the wax up into the patient’s mouth with direct composite build-ups using SmileFast stents for upper and lower teeth
6. Finishing and polishing composite restorations
7. Fitting of a protective occlusal appliance for long-term maintenance and protection.
