The Level 7 Diploma in Implant Dentistry (Eduqual) is a programme designed to give general dentists the knowledge and confidence to place and restore dental implants as well as the ability to talk to patients and appropriately consent through all stages of the treatment.
The programme is designed to work around your busy schedule by providing a blended learning approach. The theoretical aspect of the programme will be delivered using pre- recorded modules on Kajabi, an on-line learning platform.

In addition to the online theoretical learning, there will be six hands-on days of training delivered over three weekends. (Click here action button) These will provide delegates with the opportunity to practice specific clinical skills on life-like models and pigs heads, as well as build on the knowledge from the online modules in the more important topics.
You must place and restore a minimum of four implants under mentor supervision to complete the course. BioHorizons Camlog will provide (completely free of charge) the implant, a healing cap and a scan body or impression post required to carry out this minimum number of cases. They will also offer the same for an additional six implant placements if completed under mentor supervision (ten implants in total during the course).
The Level 7 Diploma has been structured to ensure dentists who successfully complete the course will be able to safely and competently place and restore dental implants in their practice, as well as have the theoretical and clinical knowledge to build on to be able to manage advanced cases.
In order to meet the requirements of the diploma you must place, write up and submit at least four implant placements. Each implant placement must be in a unique patient. Your mentor will assess you across a number of criteria and submit their scores.
You must provide at least one case in each of the following areas, totalling four cases:
Cases will be submitted using the SmileFast portal, this is a unique platform that allows yourself, your mentor and the lab to communicate in one place.
There will be various assessments throughout the programme to assess your progress and your clinical competence against the objectives of the programme. To gain the SmileFast Implant Diploma you will have needed to complete both the Online module and 6 hands on practical days.
After completing the modules and submitting your four case write ups you will be required to sit a final examination.
The final examination will include a closed book exam which consists of 30 MCQs and 20 short answer questions. You will have two hours to complete the exam.
This exam will be followed by a 15-minute viva where one of your submitted cases will be chosen by an examiner and discussed with you.
